DECLARACIÓN DEL SECRETARIO GENERAL DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS, ANTÓNIO GUTERRES, SOBRE BOLIVIA
En relación con las recientes acciones legales emprendidas contra ex funcionarios y autoridades gubernamentales en Bolivia, el Secretario General recuerda la importancia de respetar las garantías del debido proceso y la total transparencia en todos los procedimientos judiciales.
El Secretario General también recuerda los avances logrados por los bolivianos y bolivianas hacia la consolidación de la paz y reitera el compromiso de las Naciones Unidas para apoyar estos esfuerzos a través de la facilitación del diálogo y la promoción de los derechos humanos.

Statement attributable to the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General - on Bolivia
In relation to recent legal action taken against former government officials and authorities in Bolivia, the Secretary-General recalls the importance of upholding due process guarantees and full transparency in all legal proceedings.
The Secretary-General also recalls the important steps taken by all Bolivian actors towards the consolidation of peace and reiterates the United Nations commitment to support these efforts, including through the facilitation of political dialogue and the promotion of human rights.
